IMPORTANT INFORMATION

We suggest you read the following text below.

What you have to do

Pneumatic cleaning and specialised ovens.

After conducting various tests, we have found that the cleaning of a catalytic converter or DPF must be carried out without the use of additives that can damage the ceramic core. Instead, we employ specialised machinery using methods such as pneumatic cleaning and ovens with pyrolytic systems that can clean the cells up to 99% without causing damage. Our tests show that the material retains the hardness and effectiveness of the ceramic catalyst or particulate filter. Using our advanced technology, we can revive the original performance of your catalytic converter and ensure that it works optimally.

What NOT to do

Catalytic converter cleaning with chemicals.

After thorough testing, we found that your catalytic converter or DPF can be restored to its full potential.

However, it is important to note that the ceramic of the catalytic converter or DPF is a fragile material and susceptible to contamination.

For this reason, it is NOT recommended to wash the catalyst, DPF or SCRs with chemicals or water, as this can have a minimal and short-term effect.

The best option is undoubtedly our pyrolytic oven system.

When to clean the catalytic converter and particulate filter

Cars

In the case of light vehicles, DPF cleaning is necessary between approximately 120,000 and 180,000 km, depending on the number of kilometres driven and the condition of the engine, as well as the maintenance carried out.

To check the condition of the DPF, it is recommended to perform a check at every vehicle maintenance using specialised diagnostic machines.

Trucks, vans and commercial vehicles

When it comes to heavy duty vehicles, preventive DPF maintenance is recommended approximately every 250,000 km and some as early as 150,000 km. Preventive maintenance is just as crucial as regular oil changes for your vehicle. The conclusion is clear: by keeping your DPF clean, you can avoid more serious breakdowns, longer downtimes and much higher repair costs.

Our services

Repair of catalytic converters

At Recuperaciones Limatex we repair all types of catalytic converters and DPFs. We use state-of-the-art technology and advanced cleaning methods, such as pneumatic cleaning and regeneration by means of a pyrolytic system in ovens specially adapted for this process.

Cleaning and reconditioning

Our pneumatic cleaning programme for catalytic converters, particulate filters and SCR is highly effective. We use an advanced furnace programmed to deliver the exact amount of heat to ensure optimum results. This is followed by a final pneumatic cleaning to ensure that the burnt particles are removed.
